News - Red, Hot and Blue, Chapel Hill now Jim's Famous BBQ

After 12 years as Red, Hot and Blue, the Memphis-style barbecue restaurant in Chapel Hill is no longer part of the national franchise. Jim Groot, who owned the franchise, is now running the restaurant as Jim's Famous BBQ. A re-review is forthcoming.

Jim's BBQ the same as the old RHB bbq.
We ate the pulled pig sandwich for lunch. the bbq is lean with a smoky flavor. The slaw is decent with minimal mayo, not acidic. The red potato salad very good, one of my wife's favorite things there

Jim was always nice to me whenever I was there. The catfish was one of the best meals I had there at RH&B I wonder if the catfish made it over to Jim's new menu?

“So when you get the blues for some real Barbecue, come on home to Red, Hot & Blue. Just dial 942-RIBS.” If I remember the script right. :)
